Uganda Confirms 100 Cases of Coronavirus

On 6th/05/2020, Uganda recorded two more cases of Coronavirus, summing up the overall number of cases to 100. This was confirmed by the Ministry of Health via Twitter on Wednesday, 6th May, where the ministry announced the test results of the 3,509 samples taken. The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved today a disbursement of SDR361 million (about US$491.5 million or 100 percent of quota) for Uganda under the Rapid Credit Facility (RCF). Floods hit Kasese and Bundibugyo

River Nyamwamba in Kasese has flooded again destroying villages in Busunga town council. These floods have also left Kirembe Hospital’s property destroyed leaving over 80 patients, patients and doctors stranded.
