Uganda Registers 35 new COVID-19 Cases

Uganda confirms 13 new Covid-19 cases

Uganda confirmed 13 new Covid-19 cases from 2,421 samples taken from truck drivers on 8th/May/2020.

Out of the 13 new cases,7 are Kenyans, 4 are Ugandans while 2 are Tanzanians. Tracking them has commenced and the public will be informed accordingly. While all 740 community samples tested negative for Covid-19.

Uganda now stands at;

  • Total confirmed cases- 114
  • Recovered- 55
  • Active cases- 59
  • Deaths

Floods hit Kasese and Bundibugyo

River Nyamwamba in Kasese has flooded again destroying villages in Busunga town council.
